Pumpkin Contest

Enter Gavilan Peal School's Annual Pumpkin Contest. All students who enter get a free GP sticker!

1. Carve and/or decorate a pumpkin to be entered in the school-wide contest. Get creative and think outside of the box (or pumpkin)!

2. Write your name and one grade section (K-2, 3-5, or 6-8) which you want your pumpkin entered into for the contest.

3. Bring your finished pumpkin to school on Thursday, October 30! Pumpkins must arrive in the morning by 8:10am. Drop off at the tables set up in-front of the Multi Purpose Room (MPR).

Contest Rules & Details

• One pumpkin contest entry per student
• Please decorate pumpkins with an appropriate theme to be enjoyed by all students.
• Minimal parent help, we want to see our amazing students’ creativity!
• Pumpkins will be placed into grade sections (K-2, 3-5, or 6-8). If you are submitting a family pumpkin, please choose eldest sibling’s grade section.
• Contest winners are voted by your fellow students! Contest winners are voted by your fellow students! Prizes given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each grade section. Winners announcement on Thursday, October 31.
• This year we will keep pumpkins overnight for display in the Library. Please plan to pick up your pumpkin from the Library on Thursday, October 31.
